so, it isn’t my husband this time. it’s my cat!! he can’t help it. no, our friend did not come after him with the razor…the vet did! this year instead of shedding like normal, our poor kitty jordi made big dreadlocks instead. big ones that we tried to brush out, then cut out…it all got overwhelming both for us and him. when we got back from our trip to the US earlier this month, it was just too much!
but you know, since he’s been shaved, it’s like he lost 5 years off his age in addition to the 5 pounds of matted fur. he’s happier, running around a lot, playing, talking more. he has also started grooming again. i think it just all got so hopeless this spring that he didn’t bother, but now he’s got a clean slate, so to speak. 
we also realized what a tiny cat he really is. anyone who ever though he was fat – you are wrong! he’s no more than 3 inches across his back, i swear!
but, all that said, i’ll be happy when his long hair grows back.
Ooh, I’m glad he likes is haircut!!
I can’t stop laughing…he’s still got his bushy tail!!!! Skippy is also looking rather thin these days, but I think that’s because he’s actually lost quite a bit of weight and hair due to the heavy medication from his kidney failure
He’s coming back to his old self thanks to the black kitten, which we WON’T keep!!!! But have been living with us for two weeks now…
they left his legs bushy, too! he looks like he has on bushy boots! but, imagine how funny he would look with shaved legs and tail…
jordi looks like a bobble-head! it’s so funny! i’m glad his pride wasn’t hurt. =)
